"I'm not ashamed of my body anymore," said Elijah Hobbes of QueerBodies.org in an interview with WUSA Channel 9 News, a CBS affiliate in Washington, DC. The short but sympathetic segment also featured Betsy Driver, the executive director of Bodies Like Ours, and addressed the problem with the current medical protocol and why we believe that intersex children should be given a choice regarding medically unnecessary "normalizing" surgeries.
